Earlier in March, DA was increased by 4 percent. After which DA was increased from 38% to 42%.

How much will the salary increase at 45% DA/DR?

  • If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then according to 45% DA, the salary will increase by about Rs 10,000. Explain that the calculation of dearness allowance is done on the basis of multiplying the current rate of DA and basic salary, the amount of dearness allowance is calculated.
  • For example, if the basic salary of a government employee is Rs 18000, then on this he gets 42% ie Rs 7560 DA and when it is 46%, it will be Rs 8280 per month, according to this the salary will increase by Rs 720 every month. .
  • If someone’s salary is Rs 56,900, then he will get Rs 2,276 every month and Rs 27,312 annually. If someone gets a basic pension of Rs 30,000 a month, then he gets Rs 44,400 as dearness relief.
  • After 4% DR hike, this money will increase to Rs 42,600, which means pension will increase by Rs 800 every month.

Possible increase in house rent allowance

According to media reports, apart from the dearness allowance, the central government may also increase the HRA. The last HRA was increased by 25 per cent in July 2021. This time it is possible to increase by 3%. Since the HRA of the government employee is increased on the basis of the city, it is kept in X, Y, and Z category. At present Z category employee gets 9% HRA, Y 18% and X 27% HRA on their basic salary. It is believed that 3% in X category cities and only 2% in Y category cities and 1 in Z category HRA can be increased up to %.
