Salary increased: Good news! New rates of minimum wages and variable dearness allowance released for workers-employees, now this much amount will come in the account

Dearness allowance for workers is determined twice a year (April and October) on the basis of consumer price index released by Labor Bureau Shimla. In the same sequence, Chhattisgarh government has fixed variable dearness allowance from 01 April 2025 for workers employed in various scheduled employments.

Chhattisgarh Employees News: There is good news for the workers of Chhattisgarh. After Bihar, now the Chhattisgarh government has released the rates of minimum wage and variable dearness allowance for workers under the Minimum Wages Act. The new rates will come into effect from April 1, 2025. The Labor Resources Department has issued a notification in this regard. These rates have been fixed for minimum wages from April 1 to September 30, 2025.

In fact, the Labor Commissioner Chhattisgarh Government determines the dearness allowance for workers employed in 45 scheduled employments, agricultural employment and incense stick employment under the Minimum Wages Act 1948 twice a year (April 1 and October 1) on the basis of the consumer price index released by the Labor Bureau Shimla. In the same sequence, now the Labor Commissioner Chhattisgarh Government has fixed variable dearness allowance for workers from April 1, 2025.

Increase in Variable Dearness Allowance

The industrial index received from Labor Bureau Shimla increased by an average of 11.40 points between July 2024 and December 2024, accordingly, the variable dearness allowance of workers employed in 45 scheduled employments was increased by Rs 228/- per month at the rate of Rs 20/- per point.

For workers employed in agricultural employment, the variable dearness allowance was increased by Rs 215/- per month at the rate of Rs 5/- per point due to an average increase of 43 points in the index received from Labor Bureau Shimla.

For workers employed in the agarbatti industry, variable dearness allowance was fixed at Rs 7.88 per thousand agarbatti manufacturing on the basis of the average increase in the consumer price index.

After the increase in the said variable dearness allowance, the minimum wage rates will be payable to the workers employed in the notified employments from 01 April 2025 to 30 September 2025 as follows.
