Keeping in mind the big festival like Diwali, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh announced that the salary of the state government employees for the month of October will be credited to their bank accounts on October 30 itself. In this order, Diwali festival was cited on October 31, so instructions have been issued to pay the salary of the employees before time. For this, Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar has also issued an official letter.
Regarding this letter, the Additional Chief Secretary wrote, “Regarding the payment of salary before the due date due to the festival of Diwali.”
The letter further read, “In relation to the above subject, I have been directed to say that due to the public holidays of Diwali on 31st October 2024, Govardhan Puja on 02nd November, 2024 and Bhai Dooj and Chitragupta Jayanti on 03rd November, 2024, the Governor is pleased to approve the payment of salary and pension/family pension for the month of October, 2024 to all the state employees and aided educational and technical educational institutions, urban local bodies and employees in charge of work and pensioners/family pensioners receiving pension from the treasuries of Uttar Pradesh on 30th October, 2024. Please ensure prompt compliance of these orders.”
Earlier, the Himachal Pradesh government had also made a similar announcement. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu said on Friday that the government will release the pending dearness allowance (DA) at the rate of four percent along with the salary and pension of the state employees on October 28.
He said that the government will release the pending dearness allowance to the employees from January 1, 2023. Sukhu said, “Due to Diwali, the salary and pension for the month of October will be given on October 28.”
