Samantha Ruth Prabhu has revealed that after her divorce, when she was doing the item number ‘Oo Antawa’ in the film Pushpa, her family and friends forbade her to do it.

Now Samantha Ruth Prabhu has revealed that after her divorce, when she was doing the item number ‘Oo Antawa’ in the film Pushpa, her family and friends forbade her to do it. The actress has told that her family did not want her to do such item numbers immediately after her divorce. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has disclosed this in her latest interview. The actress recently spoke to English website Miss Malini.
During this, she has talked about the divorce and career with actor ex-husband Naga Chaitanya. Samantha Ruth Prabhu said, ‘When I was offered ‘Oo Antawa’ that my husband’s separation was going on. And when we announced the separation, my every friend, every well-wisher and my family started telling me that you sit at home, now you can’t do an item song after the announcement of separation and you don’t say it.
The actress further said, ‘Even my friends who usually encourage me and started saying do films like Super Deluxe, challenge yourself, even they said don’t do items. So I decided that I am doing it because I thought why should I hide? I mean I haven’t done anything wrong, why should I hide? I was not going to hide. And waited for all the trolling and abuse to go away and then slowly came back like someone who had committed a crime. I was not going to do that. I gave 100 per cent to my marriage, it didn’t work but I wasn’t going to kill myself and feel guilty for what I didn’t do. Apart from this, Samantha Ruth Prabhu talked about many other things.
