Sarkari Yojana Kanya Sumangala Yojana: The government is running many schemes to strengthen the financial strength of girls. One such scheme is for girls, under which the government is giving Rs 75,000 to the girls. One of the major schemes among these is Kanya Sumangala Yojana. This scheme is being run by the UP government. This scheme provides financial assistance for the education, health and marriage of daughters. According to Rampur District Backward Classes Welfare Officer Mohammad Zeeshan Malik, the objective of this scheme is to make the future of daughters bright and make them self-reliant. At present, this scheme is being run in the entire district including Rampur.

Money is received at different stages

Daughters get the benefit of this scheme under six major categories. If the girl is born on or after 1 April 2019, then she is given a lump sum assistance of Rs 5000. This amount is given to the parents to take care of the daughters and meet the initial needs. Apart from this, if the girl is fully vaccinated by the completion of her first year, then an additional assistance of Rs 2000 is given. This ensures that the girl’s early life is healthy and safe.

Girls are motivated for higher education

To encourage education, under the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, financial assistance is given to daughters during admission in different classes. On admission to the first class, a lump sum amount of Rs 3000 is given, which is the first step of their educational journey. Similarly, assistance of Rs 3000 is also given on admission in sixth and ninth class. This scheme motivates the girl students to study regularly and move towards higher education.

These documents will be required

After completing high school and intermediate studies, when daughters take admission in degree or diploma courses, they are given government assistance. For this, during the application, the girl’s photo, class nine admission certificate, residence certificate and other necessary documents have to be submitted. It is also mandatory to submit admission charge, mark sheet and certificate issued by the institute. The aim of the Kanya Sumangala Yojana is not only to encourage daughters towards education, but also to give them a self-reliant and secure future.
