SBI Account Holders: Has your ATM been anywhere invalid, SBI told customers what to do now

SBI-State Bank of India, the largest government bank in the country, takes special care of the facilities of its customers. That is why the bank has released many important information related to ATM on its website. The bank said what to do if the ATM card is invalidated? Let us tell you that the bank has recently changed the rules related to ATMs. The bank has introduced a new facility for debit card users. To make your transactions secure, SBI has introduced the facility of One-Time Password (OTP) at all its ATMs in the country from September 18, 2020 on withdrawals of 10,000 and above across the country.

Earlier, SBI started Doorstep ATM Service in view of Corona infection. Through this service, you no longer need to go to the bank and ATM to withdraw money. The ATM itself reaches your door on a single call. Under this, you have to make a WhatsApp message or call to SBI and a mobile ATM will reach your stated location.

Question: What to do when an “Invalid Card” message arrives at the ATM.

Answer: There may be some kind of track problem in the card. First of all, the customer should transact at any other ATM of the State Bank Network. If the same message arrives there, then the card may have to be replaced.

Question: How many times the ATM PIN of SBI can be changed?

Answer: PIN at State Bank ATMs can be changed as per requirement. This is to maintain the confidentiality of ATM-cum-debit cards and to prevent any misuse.

SBI said important things related to using ATM

ATM transactions should be done in complete secrecy to avoid ATM-cum-debit card fraud. Cover the keypad with your hand while trying it on the ATM card on the ATM or POS machine.

Never share your PIN or card details. Never write PIN on your card. Do not reply to such text messages, emails and calls in which card details or PINs are being asked.

Make sure that your current mobile number is registered with the bank so that you can receive alerts for all your transactions. If the ATM / Debit card is lost or stolen, inform the bank immediately, report any unauthorized transactions.

Do not take help of anyone to use it nor give your card to anyone. Avoid talking on mobile phone while making a transaction.
