The country’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) offers seven types of ATM-cum-debit cards to its customers. Depending on the type of card, daily cash withdrawal limits range from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Since July 1, SBI has revised its ATM withdrawal rules. As per the information available on the official website sbi.co.in, SBI allows its regular savings account holders to make 8 free transactions in a month. Subsequently, customers are charged on each transaction.
Following are the daily ATM cash withdrawal limits applicable on SBI Debit Card-
1) SBI Classic and Maestro Debit Card
ATM Withdrawal Limit: ₹ 20,000
2) SBI Global International Debit Card
Withdrawal limit from ATM: ₹ 40,000
3) SBI Gold International Debit Card
ATM Withdrawal Limit: ₹ 50,000
4) SBI Platinum International Debit Card
ATM Withdrawal Limit: ₹. 1,00,000
5) SBI Intouch Tap and Go Debit Card
Withdrawal limit from ATM: ₹ 40,000
6) SBI Mumbai Metro Combo Card
Withdrawal limit from ATM: ₹ 40,000
7) SBI My Card International Debit Card
Withdrawal limit from ATM: ₹ 40,000
SBI ATM cash withdrawal with OTP
SBI has started one time password (OTP) based facility at all its ATMs across the country from 18 September. OTP will come for withdrawal of more than Rs 10,000. For this, you have to enter the OTP sent by the bank on your registered mobile number. If you fail to do so, the transaction will be canceled. The country’s top lender tweeted, “Your transaction at SBI’s ATM is now safer than ever. SBI has extended the facility of OTP based cash withdrawal from Rs 18.09.2020 to 24×7 for an amount of Rs 10,000 and more. ” Recently, SBI launched a new facility for debit card users, which helps in preventing frauds in ATMs. The bank had asked its customers to be vigilant and not ignore SMS alerts about inquiries or mini-statements.Also Read: SBI Account Holders: Zero balance in bank account?
