State Bank of India customers may have to face problems today. SBI’s digital services will be affected on Friday evening. The reason for this is the proposed work of upgrading the bank’s digital banking platform. The bank’s digital banking platform, including YONO, YONO Lite, Internet Banking, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), was affected due to maintenance related activities last month.
SBI wrote on Twitter on Thursday, “We will do maintenance related work from 10.15 pm on May 7, 2021 to late May 1.45 on May 8, 2021. During this time, INB / YONO / YONO Lite / UPI services will not be available. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to customers and urge you to cooperate.
SBI, the country’s largest bank, has more than 22,000 branches and 57,889 ATMs. As on December 31, 2020, the number of customers using Internet banking and mobile banking are 8.5 crore and 1.9 crore, respectively. At the same time, the number of customers using the bank’s UPI is 135 million.
