New Delhi. State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest public sector bank, has shared an important information with its customers. It has been said in this notice that if the consumers do not follow this rule by June 30, then they may have to lose their banking services. State Bank of India, the country’s largest bank, has asked all its customers to compulsorily link their PAN-Aadhaar by June 30 so that they can save themselves from any future troubles.
While PAN-Aadhaar linking is mandatory for everyone, SBI has specifically sent alerts to its customers asking them to do so so that they continue to enjoy uninterrupted banking services. SBI in one of its tweets said that we advise our customers to get their PAN linked with Aadhaar and save themselves from the hassle arising due to non-availability and continue to enjoy uninterrupted banking services.
The last date for linking PAN card with Aadhar card is June 30, 2021. Those who do not link PAN with Aadhaar by this date will also have to pay late fees. Earlier the last date for linking PAN card with Aadhaar was March 31, 2021. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) later extended the last date for linking Permanent Account Number with Aadhaar card by three months to June 30, 2021.
