The bank has said that after December 1, 2021, customers who use SBI credit cards will be charged a processing fee of Rs 99 and tax on EMI transactions. At the same time, customers do not have to pay any processing fee on EMI at this time.

SBI Cards gave information

On all EMI purchases from December 1, 2021, customers will have to pay Rs 99 as processing fee. SBI Cards and Payment Services Private Limited (SBICPSL) has given information to the customers about this.

This charge will be applicable on shopping from Amazon, Flipkart

SBI said that all EMI transactions done at SBICPSL retail outlets and e-commerce websites like Amazon, Flipkart will have to pay a processing fee. These fees are in addition to the interest charges levied on converting the purchase into EMI. The company has also given information about this by emailing its customers.

Processing fee will be refunded

According to the statement issued by SBI, this fee will be charged at credit card merchant outlets. This can also make the purchases made through the ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ (BNPL) option expensive for the customers. At the same time, if your EMI transaction is canceled then you will also get the processing fee back.
