SBI customers can now sit at home and set up such new PIN of their ATM card, know the complete process

This pin is called a green pin. This method is the easiest to generate a debit card PIN. It can be made through IVR, Internet banking.

After opening our account in any bank, we use all debit cards for easy transaction. To generate your new debit card PIN one has to go to ATM or branch. But the State Bank of India (SBI) is giving its customers such facility that they can generate PIN of their debit card immediately without going to the branch. This pin is called a green pin. This method is the easiest to generate a debit card PIN. It can be made through IVR, Internet banking. Let’s know what is the way to make it.




Generate this way through Internet banking – For this, first you have to go to www.onlinesbi.com. You enter the user ID and your password by logging in there.

How to generate a PIN
After this, select ‘ATM Card Services’ under the ‘E-Services’ tab from the options appearing. After this, select ATM PIN generation. You can generate your ATM PIN through two options. These include using an OTP or profile password. If you proceed with the option of OTP, then an OTP will appear on your registered mobile number.

After this, you will have to have a savings account, to which your debit card is linked. Then select the ATM card for which the PIN is to be generated. Then click on submit. You enter the first two digits of the new PIN you want to create. The remaining two digits will be sent to you via SMS. After this, enter the first two digits and the two digits received through the message on the mobile number together and click on submit. In this way your PIN will be generated through Internet banking.

How to set PIN through IVR system
To generate SBI Debit Card Green PIN through IVR system, you have to call toll free number 1800 112 211 or 1800 425 3800 from your registered mobile number. Before placing a call, keep your ATM card and account number together so that if necessary, enter all the information immediately.

After the call, press 2 for ATM / Debit Card related services. After this, press one for pin generation. If you want to talk to a customer agent, press two. Otherwise press 1 for IVR.

You will have to go to ATM to change PIN
After this IVR will ask you to enter the last five numbers of your ATM card. After this, enter the last five digits of your account number. If you have entered all the information correctly, then in the next step you will have to tell your date of birth. After this, your green PIN will be generated and will be found in the message on your mobile number. You will have to go to any nearest ATM within 24 hours to get the PIN changed.
