In view of the ever increasing cases of Coronavirus, State Bank of India (SBI) is offering contactless service to its customers for many facilities. Now users can do many work related to the bank on the phone sitting at home. At the same time, if you have a debit card of State Bank of India, then you can generate its PIN at home. This pin is called a green pin. This PIN can also be generated from IVR system. SBI has shared the process by tweeting it.

Generate PIN through IVR from IVR

Call the toll free number 1800 112 211 or 1800 425 3800 from your registered mobile number. Keep your ATM card and account number ready

so that their details can be entered immediately if needed.

Process to generate green PIN

When the call is connected, press 2 for ATM / Debit card services.

-Press 1 to generate a PIN from the IVR menu.

– When calling from registered mobile number, IVR will ask you to press 1 or you will be asked to press 2 to talk to the customer agent.

Dial the last 5 digits of the ATM you want to generate a green PIN.

– Press 1 to confirm the last 5 digits.

-Press 2 to re-enter the last 5 digits.

-Now you have to enter the year of your birth.


After this your grin pin will be generated. This will be sent to your registered mobile number. You can change this PIN by visiting any ATM of SBI within 24 hours.
