There is good news for crores of customers of the country’s largest public sector bank State Bank of India (SBI). SBI has launched a new scheme through which customers will be able to enroll themselves in the social security scheme only with Aadhaar card.
That is, now customers will not have to carry passbook for this. At the launch of the scheme, SBI Chairman Dinesh Khara unveiled a Customer Service Point (CSP) where customers can avail these facilities.
Also on the occasion of launching, Dinesh Khara said that we aim to empower people from every section of the society and provide them access to financial security.

With the launch of this scheme, SBI customers will now only need Aadhaar card to enroll in social security schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.
That is, now they will not need to carry the passbook to the customer service point launched by the bank. A statement issued by SBI said that this will help in making the enrollment process simpler and faster.
SBI is the largest commercial bank in the country
Explain that State Bank of India (SBI) is the largest commercial bank in the country in terms of property, savings, branches, customers and staff. The deposit base of the bank till June 2023 was Rs 45.31 lakh crore.
On the other hand, State Bank of India’s market share in home loans is 33.4%, while it is 19.5% in home loans. Let us tell you that on the last trading day of the week i.e. Friday, SBI shares closed at Rs 570.25 on BSE.
