New Delhi, Have you added a nominee to your State Bank of India (SBI) account? If you have not reduced it till now, you can do it from home. You do not need to go to the bank branch for this, you can also add a nominee to the online SBI account. SBI said via tweet that “We have good news! Now SBI customers can log in by visiting our branch or visiting their website.”
You can add a nominee in three ways
1) Going to the bank branch
2) Through SBI Net Banking
3) Through SBI Mobile Banking
How to update nominee
You can update the nominee through net banking. For this you need onlinesbi. Com. will go on. Then go to request and inquiry option. After that you will see many options, from which to choose the option of online nomination. If you have more than one account in SBI, then you will see all that information. Select the correct option and fill the information related to the nominee. When this process is complete, OTP will be available on the registered mobile number. The nominee’s name will be added after the OTP verification. Nominees can be created, canceled or set aside at any time during their lifetime by the account holder.

If the account holder dies due to any reason, the nominee has full rights over the amount deposited in that account. In the absence of a nominee, the account holder’s money remains in the bank.
