State Bank of India (SBI) internet banking, YONO and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services remained suspended for few hours on the night of 13 June.

This service remained closed from 2.40 pm to 04.40 am. The bank attributed this to the bank maintenance activity.
The bank had asked its customers to be patient during the shutdown of the bank service. The bank says that this will help in improving the bank service.
Last month, the bank’s digital banking platforms including YONO, YONO Lite, online banking, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) were affected due to maintenance.
SBI has more than 22,000 branches and 57,889 ATMs across the country. SBI has the largest network across the country. As of December 31, 2020, it had 85 million Internet banking and 19 million mobile banking users. At the end of December, the number of UPI users of the bank was 135 million.
