SBI Told New ‘Rule’ Regarding minimum balance in the account, know everything about it

The country’s largest government bank State Bank of India (SBI) has given a new information regarding the minimum balance in the account. In this, it has been told that from when the customer will have to pay the minimum balance. State Bank has also told about the message charge. According to the bank, from the date on which the message charge has been made free, there will be no charge after that date. But if no one has maintained the minimum balance before that date, then the same will have to be paid.

SBI has written in a tweet, ‘Please note that if you have any charges due before the date on which the bank has announced that the minimum balance and message charges will not be levied, then the same will have to be paid. ‘. Through this tweet, State Bank has told the customers that if the minimum fee has not been kept in the account before the due date and any payment is made to the bank in this item, then it will have to be paid. This means that the customer has to keep in mind that his minimum balance is not already pending. If so, it should be paid on time.

What SBI said

The minimum balance in the bank is called Average Monthly Balance or AMB in technical language. The country’s largest bank SBI announced last year that the average minimum balance on all savings bank accounts has been waived off. As per the rules, the AMB on SBI savings account in metro cities was kept at Rs 3,000, in semi urban areas AMB Rs 2,000 and in rural areas SBI branch was kept at Rs 1,000. The bank had removed the rule of retaining this amount. For not maintaining the minimum balance, Rs 5-15 plus GST was collected by adding it. Along with this, State Bank had also waived the SMS charge.
