New Delhi. If your account is linked to Jan Dhan then there is good news for you. State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest bank, has announced to provide Accident Insurance Cover of up to Rs. One lakh to the Jan Dhan account holders. To avail this facility, you will have to apply for SBI RuPay Jan Dhan Card.
SBI gave this information through its official tweet on Friday. Also said that keep yourself safe in the road, fill the application for SBI RuPay Jan Dhan Card. In Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yajna (PMJDY) account holders are exempted from maintaining an average monthly balance. Under the scheme, villagers and city dwellers can also open their accounts in the banks under this scheme.
Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha that a total of 41.75 crore accounts have been opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, of which 35.96 crore accounts are operative.

that you can also open an account in this way,
if you also want to open your account under Prime Minister Jan-Dhan Yajna. For this, you will need an Aadhaar card. If the address given in the Aadhaar card has changed, affidavit will have to be applied for it. But if you do not have an Aadhaar card, you can also open an account with other documents such as a vendor ID card, driving license, passport or NREGA card. If your current address has not changed in any of these documents, this is enough for your address and identity card.
