Various public sector organizations and private companies offer special scholarships to school and college students. Especially some institutes are providing stipend specially for girl students. Kotak Mahindra Group Company, Kotak Education Foundation jointly announced Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2023 under CSR project. Girls who have scored more than 85% in class 12 are eligible. Their annual family income should be less than Rs.6 lakhs. This scholarship financially supports talented girl students from underprivileged sections of the society. They help to study professional graduation courses in reputed universities and colleges.
Girl students studying first year of graduation in professional courses in NAAC/NIRF recognized institutes can apply for this scholarship. This list includes professional graduation courses like Engineering, MBBS, Architecture, Design, Integrated LLB etc. The selected female students will get a stipend of Rs.1.5 lakhs per annum. However the scholarship renewal every year is based on the decision of Kotak Education Foundation. The last date to apply for this has been fixed as 30th August. Applications will be accepted online only at www.b4s.in/it/KKGS2 portal.
Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program 2023-24
Legrand Company is offering this scholarship to girl students studying BTech/BE/BArch and other courses (BBA/BCom./BSc- Math and Sciences) across the country. Stipend is provided to those who select engineering, architecture, finance, sciences as career option. This scholarship is open to all female students in India.
Applicants must have taken admission in B.Tech/BE/B.Arch./BBA/B.Com/B.Sc (Maths and Science) courses. Also must have passed 12th standard in the year 2022-2023. They should have secured at least 70% marks in class 10th and 12th. Annual family income of applicants should be less than Rs.5,00,000.
Special Category Students are given preference for Legrand Scholarship. For selected female studentscourse 60% course fee till completion or stipend up to Rs.60,000 per annum. Special category students will get 80% fee or stipend up to Rs.1,00,000 per annum till completion of the course.
Special category here means disabled, transgender students, single parent students, students who have lost their parents due to covid. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is August 31. Applications will be accepted online only. Eligible candidates can apply through official portal www.b4s.in/it/LFLS7.
Virchow Scholarship Program 2023
Andhra Pradesh,Telangana The objective of Virchow Scholarship Program- 2023 is to provide financial support for the higher education of talented, underprivileged girls in the states. Female students of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh who have passed 10th or 12th and are currently studying in 11th or first year of graduation (any stream) in government schools/colleges are eligible for this scholarship. But their annual family income should be less than Rs.6 lakh. A stipend of up to Rs.15,000 per annum will be provided to the selected candidates. Applications will be received on the portal www.b4s.in/it/VISC3, in online mode only. Eligible female students can apply before 31st August.
