Schools will remain closed in this state from tomorrow, new advisory has been issued regarding heatwave

Heat Wave: Due to the ever-increasing temperature, many state governments have announced summer vacation in schools ahead of time. School timings have also been changed in many states.

School Closed: Severe heat wave continues in many areas of North India including the national capital Delhi. Heat wave alert is being issued by the India Meteorological Department in many parts of the country. The temperature has reached 45 degrees in many places. In view of the worrisome summer conditions, the governments of many states are taking concrete steps. In such a situation, many governments have issued guidelines. According to the information, in many states, the summer vacation in schools has been given earlier or the time has been changed.

In Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered summer vacation in schools from April 21 in view of the current situation. The Chief Minister has ordered summer vacations for government and private schools from class 1 to class 12. However, no information has been given about their opening yet. The Delhi government had also issued an advisory on Wednesday (April 19) in view of the heat wave conditions. The Delhi government, in an advisory, ordered not to organize assemblies in schools in the afternoon.

West Bengal schools also closed

Due to the heatwave in West Bengal, schools have been closed till 24 April. The School Education Department and the Higher Education Department have ordered the closure of all government and private schools. However, the order is valid for all areas of West Bengal except Darjeeling and Kalimpong. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha also on Monday ordered the closure of all government schools in the state for a week from April 18 to 23.

Due to rising temperature, the timings of schools have also been changed in Patna from Saturday (April 19). Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh issued a notification in this regard and asked all the schools to change the timings from 6.30 am to 11.30 am. Earlier, the timing of every school in the district was from 7 am to 1 pm.
