School Closed: Due to increasing cold in North India, many state governments including Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan have closed physical classes in private and government schools. The government has also issued an order for this. School timings have been changed in many other places. Here is the list of schools that have ordered closure due to the current cold weather conditions:
Amidst the cold weather, schools up to class 8th in Noida and Greater Noida have been ordered to remain closed till January 14, 2024. The decision to keep schools closed in Noida, Uttar Pradesh will be applicable to both private and government schools running in the state.
Apart from this, the Rajasthan government on Friday announced the extension of winter vacation for primary school students. Schools in Rajasthan will remain closed till January 13, 2024 amid the cold weather. During this period, both private and government schools of Rajasthan will remain closed.
A government statement said that in view of the increasing severity of winter, orders have been given to keep educational work in government, non-government aided and private schools of Rajasthan up to class eight till January 13. After this, academic work will resume for these classes. However, the timings of teachers and other examinations scheduled during the period till January 13 in Rajasthan will remain the same.
Whereas in Haryana, the Chief Minister had announced winter vacation for the first 15 days, which will start on January 1, 2024 and end on January 15, 2024. Schools are scheduled to reopen on January 16, 2024.
