Fazilka District Magistrate Dr. Seenu Duggal has ordered the opening of all schools in the district from July 17, except 9 schools affected by flood water. Due to the accumulation of flood water in the said nine schools, they have been ordered to be closed till July 19.
Holidays have been declared in schools in flood-affected areas in various districts of Punjab. Schools in flood-affected areas under Jalandhar and Shahkot sub-divisions will remain closed today. DC Jalandhar has ordered closure of 15 schools in block Lohian of Shahkot, where camps have been set up for flood-affected people, till further orders.
Similarly, District Magistrate of Fazilka, Dr. Senu Duggal has ordered to open all the schools in the district from July 17, except 9 schools affected by flood water. Due to the accumulation of flood water in the said nine schools, they have been ordered to be closed till July 19.
One of these schools comes under Fazilka Block 2 and the rest under Guruharsahai Block 3.
