School Holiday 2024: There is relief news for school students. The Manipur government has ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in curfew areas indefinitely from November 27. During this period, classes will not be held in schools and colleges in Imphal East and West, Vishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching and Jiribam districts till further orders.
Under the order, all schools located in the valley areas, government-aided private and Kendriya Vidyalayas will also remain closed from November 27 till further orders. Government educational institutions under the Higher and Technical Education Department, government-aided colleges, state universities etc. will also remain closed in curfew districts.
Schools will remain closed for so many days in December
In view of the movement of tigers and elephants in Dindori district, the district administration has declared holiday of educational institutions till 29 November 2024 in all the schools operating in Pandari Pani, Gopalpur, Khamhar Khudra, Chakmi, Kharidih and Chauradadar under Jan Shiksha Kendra Gopalpur and all the schools operating around the above area (forest area) of Karanjia under Chada Vikaskhand Bajag.
In the month of December, there will be a holiday in the schools on 25 December on the occasion of Christmas Day. Apart from this, all schools will remain closed on 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 due to Sunday. In many schools, there are no classes even on the second and fourth Saturdays.
Winter Vacation in Madhya Pradesh from December to January
The Mohan government of Madhya Pradesh has declared a 6-day winter holiday in all private and government schools. There will be a winter holiday in schools from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025, but after that there is a Sunday holiday on 5 January. Therefore, students and teachers will get 6 consecutive days of holidays. School operations will start from Monday, January 6. In December also, schools will remain closed on Sunday along with the second and fourth Saturdays.
