School Holiday 2024: There is relief news for school students. Due to heavy rains and Kavad Yatra, apart from Karnataka and Kerala, holiday has been declared again on August 2 in many states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. Although the situation is not clear yet regarding Saturday, August 3, but all schools will remain closed on Sunday, August 4 due to weekly holiday.
Schools will remain closed in these cities today
In view of heavy rains in Jaipur, Rajasthan, as per the instructions of the District Collector, holiday has been declared on Friday, August 2 in all government and non-government schools from class 1 to 12. All institution heads will ensure compliance with the order. Schools will also remain closed in Ajmer.
Due to Kanwar Yatra, all primary, secondary, CBSE and ICSE board recognized schools will remain closed on August 2 in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Noida, Amroha, Meerut, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar of UP. If anyone opens the school during this time, action will be taken against them.
In Etah district also, holiday has been declared today, Friday, in all schools from class one to 12. The District School Inspector has issued a letter and given the order. However, he has made it clear in the letter that all offices will remain open.
In Saharanpur and Shamli also, orders have been issued to keep all primary, upper primary, secondary, CBSE ICSE board recognized schools, madrasas, degree colleges, DIET, technical institutes closed on August 2.
In Haridwar, a one day holiday has been declared in all government, semi-government and private schools (all educational institutions running from class 1 to 12) and all Anganwadi centers on August 2.
Schools will remain closed for so many days in the month of August
There will be 4 Sundays in the month of August – 4 August, 11 August, 18 August and 25 August. There will also be holidays in schools on the occasion of Independence Day/Parsi New Year on 15 August 2024, Rakshabandhan on 19 August and Janmashtami on 26 August. Apart from this, schools will remain closed in some places on the second and fourth Saturdays. 2 August is celebrated as the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Pingali Venkaiah, Hiroshima Day on 6 August, Quit India Movement Day on 8 August, International Youth Day on 12 August, Women’s Equality Day on 26 August and National Sports Day on 29 August, in such a situation, holidays can be declared in many states.
