School Holiday 2024: Council schools will remain closed for 112 days, holiday calendar continues

UP Government School Holiday 2024: Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council has released the holiday table for the year 2024 for council and recognized schools. Due to these six festivals falling on Sunday, you will not be able to avail the benefit of leave. In this way, including Sunday festivals, there will be benefit of 30 holidays instead of 36 in a year. Along with this, summer vacation will be for 27 days and winter vacation will be for 15 days. Winter vacation has been declared from 31 December to 14 January. Whereas, summer vacation will be from 20th May to 15th June. Schools will remain closed for a total of 112 days.

According to the holiday table released by Basic Education Council Secretary Pratap Singh Baghel, the summer vacation will be of 27 days, of which 3 days are Sundays. The winter vacation will be for 15 days, of which three are Sundays. Schools will remain closed for a total of 112 days. There is a provision in the RTE Act to open schools for 200 days in primary and 220 days in upper primary.
