Punjab: Schools will be closed till September 1

School holidays have been declared once again in Amritsar, Punjab. Schools will be closed from 30 August to 1 September. Orders have been issued for this. The deputy commissioner has declared holidays.

Uttarakhand: School holiday on August 30 as well

Bihar: 23 holidays reduced to 11

School students including teachers of Bihar have got a big shock. In fact, classes will be conducted on holidays in many schools in Bihar. There will be no holidays for Raksha Bandhan in the schools of Bihar. Also, August 31 was a holiday for secondary and higher secondary schools. which has been changed.

The education department has issued a new date for the school holidays from September to December on Tuesday. In which 23 holidays have been reduced to 11. On the instructions of Additional Chief Secretary KK Pathak, a new date for the holidays of primary to higher secondary schools has been issued. Durga Puja holiday has been curtailed. Earlier there used to be 6 days holiday in Durga Puja. By reducing which and adding Sunday, three days holiday has been declared.

The same holidays were organized from Diwali to Chhath Puja from November 13 to November. According to the new holiday calendar of the Education Department, school holidays have been declared on Diwali on November 12, Chitragupta Puja on November 15 and Chhath Puja on November 19 and 20. In such a situation, instead of 23 holidays from September to December, children will get the benefit of 11 holidays. The department says that under the Right to Education Act 2009, it is necessary to have at least 200 working days in primary school while at least 220 working days in middle school. Along with this, the education of children is getting affected due to election, exam, festival and natural calamities. Due to which this decision has been taken.

  • Holiday on Durga Puja from 22nd to 24th October

  • Holiday on November 15 on Chitragupta Puja, Bhaiya Duj
  • Holiday for Chhath Puja on November 1920 while
  • Holiday on 25th December for Christmas
