School Holiday: All private and government schools in this state will remain closed on Wednesday, the CM has announced.
School Holiday: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday announced that all schools in Haryana would remain closed on Wednesday in view of the 77th Independence Day celebrations. The announcement made by Khattar during the state-level Independence Day celebrations was later shared by his office as well. The CMO wrote on Twitter, “On the occasion of 77th Independence Day celebrations, Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar announced a holiday for all schools in Haryana on August 16, 2023.”

The Chief Minister said, “We consider the people of the entire state as our family. From the day we assumed the responsibility of ‘Jan Seva’ in the year 2014, our aim became to protect the interests of every Haryanvi.” He said that equal development of all citizens and regions has been the priority.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana has witnessed harmony, common development and brotherhood along with significant changes in the lives of the people in the last nine years in the spirit of ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek’. He said that for this it is necessary to remove the obstacles coming in the way of development.
Khattar also called upon the people of the state to forget all kinds of social, religious and communal differences and maintain mutual harmony and brotherhood.
On Independence Day, he also remembered those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.
He said, ‘Even after independence, our soldiers continued to set unique examples of valor during the Kargil war along with foreign intrusions in 1962, 1965 and 1971.’
Describing Narendra Modi as a visionary Prime Minister, he said that the Prime Minister is capable of solving challenging situations in a very short time.
The Chief Minister said that after the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the dream of united India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari has come true in true sense.
Khattar said, by starting the construction of the grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, which is on the verge of completion, the Prime Minister has strengthened the faith of lakhs of citizens.
