UP School Holiday: In view of the severe cold and cold wave outbreak in Uttar Pradesh, holidays of all schools up to class eight have been extended in four districts on the orders of the District Magistrate. Schools will remain closed in Saharanpur and Mau districts till 31 January and in Gorakhpur and Lakhimpur Kheri till 30 January.
School Holiday: In view of the severe cold and dense fog, an order has been issued to keep all schools from classes 1 to 8 closed in four districts of Uttar Pradesh. However, schools from classes 9 to 12 will operate from 10 am to 3 pm. Schools in Saharanpur, Gorakhpur, Mau and Lakhimpur Kheri will remain closed till January 31 on the orders of the District Magistrate.
Saharanpur District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra declared holiday for all schools from classes 1 to 8 in view of cold and fog. On the other hand, in Mau district also, the District Magistrate has issued an order to close the schools of all the boards including council schools from class one to eight till January 31.
On the other hand, in Gorakhpur and Lakhimpur Kheri, on the orders of the District Magistrate, the holidays of schools up to class eight have been extended till January 30. However, during this period, teachers will remain present in council schools and continue doing departmental work. The timing of schools up to class 12th has been changed from 10 am to 3 pm. This decision has been taken in view of the forecast of the Meteorological Department.
