List of holidays
Teacher’s Day will be celebrated on 5th September. After organizing programs in many schools on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, school holidays are declared. Students can benefit from it. Half day education is conducted in many schools.
The festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated on 7th September. Every year the festival of Janmashtami is celebrated with great pomp in the country. Along with this, holidays are declared in schools. Students from class 1 to 12 are to get its benefit. Janmashtami is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna.
The same schools will be closed on September 19 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi and Vinayaka Chaturdashi are celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Ganesha. During this time schools are kept closed in many states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Odisha. Orders have also been issued for this.
