Students will also benefit from this. During this, all government, private and semi government schools will be closed. Holidays will be applicable for students from class 1 to 12.

List of holidays

Teacher’s Day will be celebrated on 5th September. After organizing programs in many schools on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, school holidays are declared. Students can benefit from it. Half day education is conducted in many schools.

The festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated on 7th September. Every year the festival of Janmashtami is celebrated with great pomp in the country. Along with this, holidays are declared in schools. Students from class 1 to 12 are to get its benefit. Janmashtami is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna.

The same schools will be closed on September 19 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi and Vinayaka Chaturdashi are celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Ganesha. During this time schools are kept closed in many states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Odisha. Orders have also been issued for this. The festival will conclude with Ganesh Visarjan on September 28 for the 10-day festival. However, for this only one day holiday is declared in schools.

Schools will be closed on 28th September on the occasion of Milad-e-Nabi or Eid-e-Milad. Holidays have been declared in government, semi-government, private schools and Anganwadi centres. It is celebrated to celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohammed. It is widely celebrated by the Muslim community and is also declared a holiday for schools and colleges as well as employees.
