School Holiday: Big News! Holiday declared in all government and private schools from 4 to 6 August, Collector issued order

CG-Schools Holiday: It has been raining continuously for 60 hours in Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi (GPM) district. Heavy rains are expected here in the coming days as well. In view of this, holiday has been declared on August 4 and 5 in all private and government schools in the district.

Collector Priyanka Mahobia has declared a holiday for August 4 and 5 for all classes 1 to 12 in government and private schools run in the district. August 6 is a Sunday, so now the children will go to school from Monday, August 7. Issuing the order, the Collector has instructed all the schools to strictly follow it.

Eye flu is also very widespread in the district during the rainy season. School closure will also help in its prevention. Most of the children suffer from conjunctivitis. Let us inform that due to heavy rains in the district, there has been water-logging at many places, due to which people are facing problems in moving from one place to another. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in the district. The collector has also asked all the departments to remain alert. Along with this, people have also been appealed to take extra precautions to avoid the disease.

The Collector has issued separate orders for immediate cleaning and repair of roads, repair of dilapidated old school buildings, Anganwadi centers in case of landslides due to excessive rains. Keeping in mind the possibility of damage to various construction works, special precautions have been taken for the safety of children and property.

He has instructed the CMHO to ensure that adequate medicines are available in the health centers in case of untoward incident and prevention of diseases. He has instructed Executive Engineer Public Works, PMGSY, MGSY, RES including District Education Officer, District Women and Child Development Officer, CMHO Gorela and Pendra and District Panchayat CEO Gorela, Pendra, Marwahi to be vigilant.

Let us inform that the Son river is in spate near Marwahi’s Kotmi and Seoni. If we talk about urban areas, water has entered many wards, due to which the ward residents are getting worried.
