School Holiday: Big relief for school students! School holidays extended again for so many days in these states, order issued

Under the order of the Education Department, holidays have been declared for all the government and recognized private schools coming under Kashmir Division from 8th July to 17th July.

School Holiday 2024: There is relief news for school students. Due to heavy rains, holiday has been declared on 2nd July (Tuesday) in all government, semi-government and private schools and Anganwadi centers from class 1 to 12 in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand. In other states also, holidays have been declared in different schools on different dates due to changing weather, by-elections and monsoon break.

Know when and where schools will remain closed

• By-elections are to be held on July 10 in three assembly seats of Himachal Pradesh – Dehra, Hamirpur and Nalagarh. There will be a holiday in departments, boards, corporations, schools, colleges and factories.
• Holidays have also been declared on July 10 in Jalandhar assembly seat, Badrinath assembly constituency and Mangalore assembly constituency of Punjab.
• Due to heat, it has been decided to close schools for a week in Kashmir Valley as well. Under the order of the Education Department, holidays have been declared for all government and recognized private schools in Kashmir division from July 8 to July 17. If required, online classes will also be made available for students.
• The Jammu and Kashmir administration has said that government and recognized private schools in the summer zone of Jammu division will remain closed till July 16.
• There will be a monsoon break in the summer closing school of Himachal Pradesh till July 29. There will be a monsoon break from 23 July to 14 August in district Kullu and the winter closing schools will have monsoon holidays from 22 July to 29 July. The School Education Department has issued an order in this regard.
