Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar: A big decision has been taken in view of the Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. This time a large number of devotees are expected to come here.
Hardiwar School Colleges Closed due to Kanwar Yatra: It has been announced that schools and colleges in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand will be closed for a week. Haridwar District Magistrate Dheeraj Singh gave this information on Tuesday. He said that all schools, Anganwadi centers and colleges coming in the Kanwar Yatra route will be closed from July 27 to August 2.
The DM said that there is a possibility of a large number of devotees coming in the Kanwar Yatra this year. A large number of Shiva devotees come here in Haridwar to collect Gangajal by passing through the main roads in various vehicles. There is a possibility of such crowd on all Kanwar routes, so this decision has been taken.

In fact, lakhs of Kanwar pilgrims from all over western Uttar Pradesh come to Haridwar to collect Gangajal. There is a fair of Kanwar pilgrims on the roads of all districts including Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Meerut, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar. In view of the Kanwar fair, route diversion has also been done on all roads including Delhi Meerut Expressway, Meerut Highway.
