School Holiday/Summer Vacation 2024: There is relief news for school students. Due to extreme heat and changing weather, summer holidays have started in different states. Summer holidays are going to start in Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat from May. The timing of government secondary schools and non-government aided secondary schools of UP Board has been extended by one hour.
Summer vacations will start in these schools from May
Gujarat – Summer vacation in all primary, secondary and higher secondary schools will start from May 9 and will last till June 12. This time there will be a summer vacation of 35 days. The new academic year 2024-25 will start from June 13.
Delhi – Schools will remain closed from 11 May to 30 June. However, teachers will have to come from 28th to 30th June, so that they can complete the preparations before the school opens. School holiday was also declared in most of the schools of Delhi NCR today i.e. on 1st May.
Uttar Pradesh- Summer vacations will start in all schools from 13th and 15th May and will continue till 30th June. Schools in the state will also remain closed on 7th May, 13th May and 20th May. Because on these dates the third phase, fourth phase and fifth phase of voting will be held respectively.
Rajasthan- There will be summer vacation in schools in Jaipur from 17th May to 23rd June. There will be holidays in all government and private schools during summer vacation. Summer vacation camps will also be organized during this period.
Timings of these schools of UP-Bihar changed
Keeping in mind the National Education Policy, changes have been made in the timings of government secondary schools and non-government aided secondary schools of Uttar Pradesh Board. Under this, the timing of these schools has been extended by one hour. Now schools will open till 130 pm. Earlier schools were opening from 730 am to 1230 pm.
After amending the Intermediate Act, these instructions have been given by the Secondary Education Department. Now from April 1 to September 30, secondary schools of UP Board will open from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. From October 1 to March 31, it will be open from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
School timings have also been changed in Patna, the capital of Bihar. DM Shirsat Kapil Ashok has issued an order on April 30, in which all educational activities will be banned from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm in all private and government schools in the district up to class ten. There will be a ban on educational activities of classes 11th and 12th from 11:30 am to 4 pm. The new time table will be effective from May 1 to May 8, 2024.
