School Holiday: Big relief for school students! Schools will remain closed for these many days in these states, holidays declared

School Holiday 2024: Today, on July 19, all Anganwadis, primary schools, high schools and pre-university colleges (up to class 12th) will remain closed. However, engineering colleges, diploma colleges, ITI and postgraduate courses will operate as usual.

School Holiday: There is a relief news for school students. Schools in Jammu have opened from today, Friday 18th July, while many schools have been closed due to heavy rains in Karnataka and Kerala. Apart from this, in the month of July and August also schools will remain closed due to second, fourth Saturday and Sunday along with many festivals.

Holiday in these schools today due to heavy rains

Karnataka’s Udipi Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vidya Kumari has declared a holiday in all schools and PU colleges across the district on Friday, July 19 due to widespread rainfall. All Anganwadis, primary schools, high schools and pre-university colleges (up to class 12) will remain closed on July 19. However, engineering colleges, diploma colleges, ITI and postgraduate courses will operate as usual.

All schools in Kannur, Wayanad, Kasaragod, Kozhikode and Palakkad in Kerala will remain closed on Friday, July 19 due to heavy rains. Public and university examinations in Kannur, Wayanad and Palakkad will be held as scheduled in Kannur and Palakkad.

This many days holiday will be available in July and August

27th July is the fourth Saturday, so schools will remain closed in many states. Schools will remain closed on 21st and 28th due to Sunday. Apart from this, schools will remain closed on 04th, 11th, 18th and 25th August due to Sunday.

07th August Hariyali Teej, 10th August second Saturday, 15th August Independence Day, 16th August (Friday) compensatory declared holiday, 19th August, (Monday) Rakshabandhan, 26th August: (Monday) Janmashtami will be a holiday.
