Himachal: Holiday declared till August 24 in Shimla, Mandi

In Himachal, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Kullu, Mandi and Kangra. After which instructions have been given by Himachal government to keep schools and colleges closed. Schools and colleges will be closed for two days. The district administration, Shimla has declared holiday till August 24 in educational institutions. Shimla Deputy Commissioner Aditya Negi has declared holiday till August 24 in all government private educational institutions, universities, colleges, schools and vocational training centers, anganwadis.

In view of the heavy rains in Mandi also, instructions have been given to keep the schools closed till August 24. District Magistrate and appropriate Arindam Chowdhary have also issued orders in this regard. All private and government educational institutions, vocational training centers and Anganwadi centers will have a holiday till August 24.
