Holiday 2024: There is relief news for the students of Uttar Pradesh. Due to severe cold, dense fog and cold wave, school holidays have once again been extended in a dozen districts. Now schools will open on Monday 29th January. Students from classes 1 to 8 will benefit from this, while classes for students from classes 9 to 12 will continue as usual. Apart from this, orders have also been issued in Haryana, Chandigarh and Jammu to keep schools closed till January 28.
School holidays extended in these districts of UP
- Aligarh District Magistrate Inder Vikram Singh, in view of the extreme cold wave and cold in the district, on Saturday, January 27, in all the schools of the Basic Education Council, non-government aided, recognized and other boards CBSE, ICSE from class nursery to class eight. Holiday has been declared. There will be a holiday in the schools on 28th January due to Sunday, hence now the schools will open from 29th January. All the teachers, instructors, Shikshamitras, non-teaching staff working in the schools will remain present in the school till the stipulated time and carry out departmental and school related work.
- Varanasi District Magistrate Arvind Kumar Pathak has also ordered closure of classes 1 to 8 on January 27 in all council schools, all recognized CBSE boards, ICSE boards and all schools of all boards. Teachers and headmasters, instructors and Shikshamitras will remain present in council schools and will continue to do administrative work. All Block Education Officers should ensure compliance with the said order.
- As per the instructions of Hathras District Magistrate, keeping in view the prevailing cold wave and thaw in the weather, there will be a holiday on 27th January in all the schools of the district (from nursery to class 8). The educational/non-academic staff will be present in the schools and discharge their official responsibilities.
- There will be a holiday in Ballia, Badaun and Lucknow too, thus now schools will open on 29th. Badaun DM Manoj Kumar has directed that classes up to class eight will be closed in all government, non-government, private, Kasturba schools and Anganwadi centers on 24th and 27th January. There will be holiday. Classes can be conducted online in all schools from classes nine to 12. Offline classes will be conducted from 10 am to 3 pm.
Holidays extended in Chandigarh/Haryana/Jammu also
- In the Union Territory of Chandigarh, holidays in schools up to class five have been extended till January 28, now schools will open on January 29. Officially, due to winter, schools will remain closed till January 25, but after that on January 26 and January 27 also. It is a holiday. After this, 28th January is Sunday, hence now schools will open only on 29th January.
- In Haryana too, holiday has been declared in schools up to class 5th on 27th January, now schools will open on 29th January. In Jammu division too, all the schools up to class 12th will remain closed till January 27, thus, due to January 28 being a Sunday, the schools here too will open on January 29.
