School Holiday: Big relief for students, schools will remain closed for a whole month due to summer vacation

School Holiday: Relief news has come out for the students. Punjab government has announced summer vacation in schools. After 14 days, summer vacations will start in all private and government schools of the state.

Summer vacation will start from June 1

The order has been issued by Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains. Schools will remain closed for a whole month. There will be summer holidays in the state from June 1 to June 30. Action will be taken against schools violating the rules. The department has sent a copy of the order to all the districts.

In view of the heat, the government took the decision

The Punjab government has taken this decision in view of the scorching heat. Temperature is being seen high in the state since last few days. The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of a hit wave in the coming days. In such a situation, keeping the health of the students in mind, summer vacation has been announced in schools.

Weather condition in the state

It is very hot these days in Punjab. The hottest day of the season was recorded in the state on Wednesday. The mercury was seen crossing 44.5 degrees in Samrala. On Thursday, a yellow alert was issued regarding heat wave in the entire state. Heat wave is also expected on May 17. The temperature will increase in the next 5-7 days. The Meteorological Department has estimated that the mercury may even reach beyond 48 degrees. An advisory regarding hitweb has also been issued for elderly and pregnant women in the state.
