All schools and Anganwadi centres in the district will remain closed on July 23. Strict action will be taken against those who disobey the order.

School Holiday: An alert has been issued regarding heavy rain in Uttarakhand. People are troubled due to rain in many areas including the capital Dehradun. The Meteorological Department has predicted lightning and thunder along with heavy rain in Dehradun district on July 23. In view of which the administration has decided to close all the schools in the entire district. On Tuesday, holiday has been declared in all educational institutions and Anganwadi centers from class 1 to 12th.

Action will be taken on violation of the order

DM / District Disaster Management Authority Chairman has issued an order in this regard on Monday, July 22. This order will be applicable to all government, non-government and private schools of Dehradun. Strict action will be taken on violation of rules. Instructions have also been given to the Chief Education Officer and District Program Officer.

How will the weather be?

The notice said, “According to the forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department, Dehradun, there will be heavy rain in Dehradun on Tuesday. There is a possibility of lightning with thunder at some places. An alert of heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued in some areas. Due to heavy rain, the possibility of landslides also increases. This can cause some kind of untoward incident.”

Let us tell you that on July 22, all government and private schools along with Anganwadi centers in Udham Singh Nagar were closed for holiday. The Meteorological Department had issued a red alert regarding heavy rain in the district on July 21 and 22. Keeping in mind the interest of the students, the District Magistrate had announced the holiday.
