School Holiday In November 2023: There is good news for school students. Schools are going to remain closed for several days in November due to festivals and weekly holidays. This will include holidays of many festivals including Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj and Chhath Puja. The list of holidays and the number of days may vary from state to state.
Schools will remain closed for so many days in UP-Bihar-Delhi
In Uttar Pradesh, schools will be closed on 13th November on the occasion of Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj on 15th November, Chhath Puja on 19th November, death anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur on 24th November and Guru Nanak Jayanti on 27th November. Apart from this, November 14 has also been declared a holiday in basic schools in the state. Basic Education Council Secretary Pratap Singh Baghel has said in the instructions issued to all BSAs that holiday has been declared in the schools running under the Council and recognized basic schools. This holiday is not included in the calendar. Due to this there was a dilemma regarding this holiday.
The holidays for Diwali and Chhath Puja in government schools of Bihar will be from 13 to 21 November. Whereas private schools have declared holiday till 21st November. Diwali vacation in Kendriya Vidyalaya will last only till 13th November. The school will open one day after this on 14th November. Then on 15th November there will be one day holiday for Bhai Dooj. Chhath Puja holiday in Kendriya Vidyalaya will be from 18th to 20th November.
Due to pollution in Delhi, the state government has decided to keep all schools up to class nine closed till November 18, 2023. In this regard, instructions have been issued to declare winter break to the schools.
Schools will remain closed for so many days in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Haryana
There will be a holiday in schools in Chhattisgarh till 16th November, due to the voting for the assembly elections, a general holiday has also been announced on 17th November. There will be a holiday in Madhya Pradesh till November 15, due to the assembly elections, all schools, colleges, banks and all offices will remain closed on Friday, November 17. Also, on November 18-19, schools will remain closed due to the second Saturday and Sunday, thus now Schools will open on 20th November.
In Haryana, there will be a holiday on Monday 13th November due to Vishwakarma Day/Goverdhan Puja, Sunday on 19th November, Sunday 26th November and on 27th November there will be a holiday due to Guru Nanak Jayanti. In Jharkhand, 20 November Chhath Puja, 15 November Birsa Munda Jayanti and 27 November Guru Nanak Jayanti have been declared holidays.
Schools will remain closed for several days in Rajasthan also
Will remain in government and non-government schools of Rajasthan till 19th November. Schools will reopen in the state on November 20. There will be holiday on 25th November and Guru Nanak Jayanti on 27th November. These holidays have been decided according to the guidelines issued in government schools. Assembly elections are to be held on 25th November. In such a situation, the schools where polling stations are scheduled will be taken over for the elections 3 days in advance. In such a situation, school will be held for barely 3 days after the mid-term vacation. In this way, teaching in schools will be affected for the entire month of November.
