In view of the heat, two days holiday has been declared in the schools. All schools up to class 7th will remain closed till 30th July.
School News: On one hand, the effect of monsoon is being seen in many states across the country. Kashmir is experiencing record-breaking heat. In view of the havoc of heatwave and heatwave, the government has issued an order to close the schools. All private and government schools will remain closed on 29th July. On 30th July also, classes will not be conducted for students up to primary level i.e. class 7th in schools.
Record-breaking heat in Kashmir
Kashmir is famous all over the world for its beauty and coolness. People from the country and abroad come here to visit. It is also called heaven on earth. But on Sunday, the highest temperature of the month of July has been recorded here at 25 degrees. The mercury in Srinagar has reached 36 degrees. Earlier, on 10th July 1946, the temperature of Srinagar in the month of July was recorded at 38.3 degrees. The temperature of Kanjigund was 35.6 degrees on Sunday.
No leave for teachers and staff
On Sunday, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir issued an order regarding the leave. It said, “In view of the continuous wave of corona in the valley, classes for students up to primary level in government and recognized private schools will remain suspended on 29 and 30 July.” According to the order, teachers and staff will be present in the school and will discharge their duties.
Summer vacation was till 17th July
Let us tell you that summer vacation was declared from 8th to 17th July in Kashmir. Schools were reopened on 18th July. But due to increase in temperature, vacation has been declared again. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in some areas of the state.
