School Holiday: Schools will remain closed in these states till January 15, check the list

School Holidays: There is severe cold in North India. Due to cold and fog, there is good news for students. District Magistrate (DM) in Meerut has declared a holiday on 30th and 31st December in all board schools from class 1 to 8. All schools in the district, private, government and aided schools will remain closed for two days.

The District Magistrate (DM) in Meerut has declared a holiday on 30 and 31 December in all board schools from class 1 to 8. All schools in the district, private, government and aided schools will remain closed for two days. Muzaffarnagar DM has also announced a holiday in schools from class 1 to 8 on Monday. Apart from this, most of the states of the country have announced winter holidays in schools.

Long holidays in Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir

The Dehradun district administration has declared a holiday in all government, non-government, private schools and Anganwadi centers up to class 12 till January 4, 2025. At the same time, in view of the change in weather, snowfall and rain in Jammu and Kashmir, schools will remain closed till February 2025.

Schools up to class 5 will remain closed from 10 December 2024 to 28 February 2025.

Schools from class 6 to 12 will remain closed from 16 December 2024 to 28 February 2025.

Haryana and Delhi

All government and private schools will have winter holidays from 1 to 15 January.

Uttar Pradesh: Primary schools will remain closed from 31 December to 14 January. Will open on 15 January at normal time. Students will be given 15 days of homework.

Madhya Pradesh: There will be holidays from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025. Schools will start from 6 January.

Rajasthan: All government and private schools will remain closed till 5 January. Strict action will be taken against private schools for not following the order.

Jharkhand: Government schools will remain closed till 5 January 2025. Schools will start from 6 January.

Kendriya Vidyalayas of Raipur Division: Will remain closed from 24 December 2024 to 2 January 2025.

These states have changed the timing of schools

The timing of schools has been changed in Jashpur, Manendragarh, Chirmiri and Balrampur in Chhattisgarh. Many states have taken this step to provide relief to students and parents due to cold.

Schools with two shifts:

First shift: 9 am to 12:30 pm.

Second shift: 12:45 pm to 4:15 pm.

Schools with one shift: 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
