School Holidays: Big relief for school students! Schools will remain closed for these many more days, their timings also changed

School Holidays: In view of the severe cold, cold wave and fog, the school holidays in the states of Rajasthan, UP and Bihar have been extended once again. In some cities, holidays have been declared till January 14 and in some till January 15. In the states of South India, schools will remain closed for a week due to Sankranti and Pongal.

School Winter Holiday 2025: There is relief news for school students. On one hand, while winter holidays have been declared in Haryana and Delhi till January 15, the holidays of schools in Rajasthan, UP and Bihar have been extended once again due to severe cold, cold wave and dense fog.

Holiday has been declared on January 13 in Jaipur, Dausa, Sikar, Nagaur, Bundi, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Beawar, Dholpur, Jhalawar districts of Rajasthan. In Tamil Nadu, it has been decided to keep all educational institutions including schools and colleges closed from January 14 to 19 on the occasion of Pongal. Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) has also declared holidays in all colleges from January 11 to 16.

Where will schools remain closed in UP

Agra District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bangari has extended the holiday for schools up to class 12 by one day. Makar Sankranti holiday will be in schools on 14th. Now CBSE, ICSE, secondary and all government and private schools will open on January 15. Schools will be able to conduct online classes as per their convenience. Teachers will be able to work as per the instructions of the school management.

Shahjahanpur DM Dharmendra Pratap Singh has declared holiday in all schools up to class eight till January 13. Instructions have been given to conduct online classes for students of classes nine to 12.

Schools will remain closed in Lucknow till January 14, Mathura till January 15 and Unnao till January 14. An order has been issued to close all schools in Farrukhabad and Lakhimpur Kheri till January 14.

The Ghaziabad district administration has issued an order to keep all schools from class 1 to 8 closed till January 18, 2025. Under this, all the schools affiliated to all council, secondary (UP Board), CBSE, ICSE or other boards will remain completely closed for students till 18-01-2025. During this period, all the staff/employees of the school will remain present in the school and will continue to do departmental work.

Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has extended the holiday till 13, 14 and 15 January. Under this, classes up to eighth will remain closed in all private and government schools (including pre-school and Anganwadi centers), while teaching work of class nine and above will be done only after nine in the morning and before three and a half o’clock in the afternoon.

Holidays extended by 2 to 3 days in Rajasthan too

Holidays have been declared for children of classes 1 to 8 on 13 and 14 January in Pali, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Kotputli-Baharod and Deeg districts. There will also be holidays in Anganwadi centers.

Holidays have been declared for children of classes 1 to 8 in all schools of Sawai Madhopur from 13 to 16 January.

In Kota, along with the holiday for children of classes 1 to 8, school timings have been changed for classes 9 to 12. Instructions have been given to hold classes for children of classes 9 to 12 from 10 am to 3:00 pm.

Holidays for children of classes 1 to 8 in all government and non-government schools in Jalore district on 13 and 14 January. Schools for children and teachers of other classes from 11 am to 4 pm.

Jodhpur Collector has changed the timings of students in all government and non-government schools from 13 to 14 January. Attendance of students in schools before 10 am will be restricted.
