The weather department has issued an alert, predicting severe heat till June 19 and has advised crop protection. Seeing the heat wave, the government has declared a holiday in schools up to class eight till June 24.
The weather became dry from Saturday morning itself. In the afternoon, people’s lives were in trouble due to the gusts of hot winds of about 25 km per hour. It became difficult for people to travel on two-wheelers. The humidity of the atmosphere was more or less fine, but the temperature of two to three degrees Celsius more than the normal took a toll on health.

From June 28, students have been asked to teach from 7:30 am to 10 am. From July 1, regular schools have been asked to open from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. From June 25 to June 30, instructions have been given to conduct cleanliness, school chalo abhiyaan and other activities in schools.
Advice for crop protection
In-charge of the State Agricultural Meteorological Center, Dr. Atul Singh has advised crop protection in the weather alert issued. He has suggested light irrigation of crops of moong, groundnut, sugarcane, sunflower, urad, maize etc. along with paddy saplings. He said that it is very important to maintain moisture in the fields in summer. He has predicted the possibility of monsoon after June 25.
