School Holidays : In view of the increasing cold, fog and rain in Uttarakhand, the Dehradun district administration has declared holiday till January 4, 2025 in all government, non-government, private schools up to class 12th and all Anganwadi centers.
School Winter Holiday: On one hand, in view of the changing weather and increasing cold, many states of North India have announced winter vacation (Winter Vacation 2024). On the other hand, the Dehradun district administration has declared holiday from 28 December to 4 January 2025 in all government, non-government, private schools up to class 12th and all Anganwadi centers.
Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal has directed the Chief Education Officer and District Program Officer to ensure compliance of orders in all educational institutions and Anganwadi centers. Instructions have been given to take strict action against those who violate the order. Apart from this, schools will remain closed on 5, 12, 19 and 26 January due to Sunday. Schools will remain closed on 14 January on Makar Sankranti and on 17 January on Guru Govind Singh Jayanti.
Winter Vacation from January in these states
Haryana and Delhi: Both the states will have winter holidays from 1 to 15 January which will be applicable to all government and private schools.
Madhya Pradesh: There will be winter vacation in schools from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025, but after this there is a Sunday holiday on 5 January, so the operation of schools will start from Monday 6 January.
Rajasthan: There will be winter vacation in Rajasthan till January 5. This order is for both government and private schools. If any private school violates the order and calls children to school, then strict action will be taken against it.
Jharkhand: There will be a holiday in government schools in Jharkhand till January 5, 2025. January 5 is Sunday. After this, government schools across the state will open on January 6.
Schools will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir till February
The Jammu Education Department has declared holidays in schools till February 2025 in view of rain and snowfall. Under this, winter vacations have started from 10 December 2024 for school students up to class 5 and schools will remain closed till 28 February 2025. The winter vacations for classes 6 to 12 have also started from 16 December 2024 and schools will remain closed till 28 February 2025.
