School Holiday: In Madhya Pradesh, summer vacation has been declared for students from 1st May to 15th June. Whereas, Telangana government has ordered to keep the schools closed from 12th to 14th April.
School Holiday 2025: There is good news for school students. In the month of April, there will be a holiday in the schools of different states due to the second and fourth Saturdays along with Sunday and Baisakhi festival, Hanuman Jayanti, Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti and Parashuram Jayanti.
The Telangana government has announced school holidays for 3 days in all government and private educational institutions from 12 to 14 April 2025. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has also announced summer vacation. In Haryana, schools will remain closed due to the second and fourth Saturdays, Sundays, Buddha Purnima Monday (local holiday) and Maharana Pratap Jayanti (Thursday) in May.
How many holidays in which state in April
- In Punjab, schools will remain closed on Vaisakhi 13 April (Sunday), Ambedkar Jayanti 14 April, Good Friday 18 April, Lord Parshuram Janam Utsav 29 April.
- In UP, schools will remain closed due to Baisakhi festival on 13 April, Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti on 14 April and Good Friday on 18 April.
- There will be holiday in Rajasthan due to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jayanti on 11 April, Baisakhi festival on 13 April, Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti on 14 April and Good Friday on 18 April. Similarly, in other states too, there will be holidays in schools on different occasions in April.
46 days summer vacation in MP
- According to the order issued by the Madhya Pradesh Government School Education Department, summer vacation has been declared for students from May 1 to June 15 and for teachers from May 1 to May 31.
- These holidays will be applicable to all private and government schools in the state simultaneously. Along with summer vacation, the government has also announced the dates of Dussehra, Diwali and winter vacations.
- Dussehra vacation will be from October 1 to October 3, Diwali vacation from October 18 to October 23 and winter vacation from December 31 to January 4.
School timings changed in many districts of MP
- Due to the scorching heat and heat wave, school timings have changed in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. After the order of the collector in Shajapur, now classes from nursery to 12th will be conducted from 7 am to 12 noon. This order will be applicable to all government and non-government schools run by the Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, ICSE Board.
- According to the order of Bhopal Collector, schools from nursery to 8th class will be held only till 12 noon. This order will be applicable to all schools recognized by CBSE or any other board.
- According to the order of Ratlam Collector, all schools from class nursery to 12th can be operated from 7 am to 12 noon.
- In Morena, the time from nursery to class 2 will be from 9 am to 1 pm, while the time for class 3 will be from 8 am to 1.30 pm.
