School Holidays: After the stampede on Mauni Amavasya in Maha Kumbh, holiday has been declared in schools of many districts of Uttar Pradesh including Ayodhya, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ghazipur, Raebareli.
School Holiday 2025: There is relief news for school students. After the stampede on Mauni Amavasya in Maha Kumbh, holiday has been declared in schools of many districts including Ayodhya, Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.
Apart from this, due to increasing cold and fog in Deoria district, District Magistrate Divya Mittal has changed the timing of all schools up to class 8 (Basic Education and CBSE and ICSE) till January 31. All schools will operate from 10 am to 3 pm.
Holiday declared in schools in these districts of UP
Mirzapur: All schools from pre-primary to class 12 have been closed till February 1. Schools can conduct online classes as per requirement. During this time, pre-scheduled examinations and practical examinations will remain as usual.
Jaunpur: Holiday has been declared in all schools in view of Kumbh Snan festival on 30 January 2025. This decision has been taken on the orders of the District Magistrate. This holiday should be applicable to all educational institutions
Varanasi: Online classes will be conducted in all schools from class one to 12 till February 5. Only teachers and staff will come to school till February 5. Basic Education Officer Arvind Pathak has issued this order.
Ayodhya: DM Chandra Vijay Singh has also ordered complete closure of schools till February 5. This order will apply to all schools located in the extended limits of the Municipal Corporation of Ayodhya’s Dham area and Vikaskhand Pura, which includes council, government, recognized, aided, and private recognized government and private schools of all boards from pre-primary to class 12th.
Ghazipur: On the instructions of DM Aryaka Akhouri, schools from class 1 to 12th will remain closed on January 30. A letter has been issued to close primary, upper primary, high school and intermediate government and private schools. If any school opens, action will be taken against it.
Prayagraj: All schools up to class 8 will remain closed till February 03. All schools from class one to eight operating in the city area will remain closed.
When will schools remain closed in February
- Schools will remain closed in February also due to festivals and weekly holidays. There will be a holiday in schools in many states due to Basant Panchami on 2 February.
- Schools may remain closed in Maharashtra and some other states due to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19 February.
- Schools may remain closed on 24 February due to Guru Ravidas Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas, saint and poet of the Bhakti movement.
- Schools may remain closed on 26 February due to Mahashivratri. Apart from this, schools will remain closed on 2, 9, 16 and 23 January in February due to Sunday.
- All schools up to class 5 in Jammu and Kashmir are closed from 10 December 2024 and will remain closed till 28 February 2025. Schools from class 6 to 12 are closed from 16 December 2024 and will remain closed till 28 February 2025, in such a situation, now schools will open only in March.
