School Opening Times Chang: Once again the timings of schools up to class 8 have been changed in UP. Dr. MK Shanmuga Sundaram, Principal Secretary of Basic Education Department, has issued the order for the new timings on Wednesday. Schools will run on Fridays and Saturdays at the old timings. Schools will be operational at the new timings from July 1. Actually, the frequently changing orders of the government and the Directorate of Education regarding the timings of council schools have made teachers dizzy. On June 18, the Director General of Basic Education had issued an order to make the timings of schools operational from 8 am to 2 pm from July 1, but by the evening of the same day, the Director General of School Education issued orders to make the timings of schools operational from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm.

In this regard, the remaining points of the orders issued from all three levels are the same. For example, council schools will open from June 28 after summer vacation. For the first two days i.e. Friday 28 June and Saturday 29 June, school timings will be from 7.30 am to 10.00 am. After that, from Monday 1st July, schools will open from 8 am to 2 pm. Before the opening of schools on 28th after summer vacation, schools will be cleaned and decorated with flowers and leaves to make the environment of schools attractive and conducive for children.

On June 28, children coming to school will be welcomed by applying roli-tika. On that day, interesting halwa, kheer etc. will be prepared for the children in the midday meal. Instructions have also been given to specially welcome the children taking new admission in class one and class six. For the preparations of all this, the school has been opened for teachers on June 25 itself. In the instructions issued for the teachers, it was said that after the school remains closed during summer vacation, when it reopens, the campus will be found dirty. Therefore, the school should be made beautiful and attractive by getting the campus cleaned properly from 25 June to 27 June.

Grass and wild plants will be cleaned. Also, the floors, walls, windows, doors, blackboards etc. of the classrooms will be cleaned. Also, furniture, equipment, stationery, TLM books etc. will be cleaned. The school’s store room, water tank, kitchen, washroom, laboratory and library will be cleaned and disinfected.
