School Reopen: Due to heavy rains and rising water level of rivers, schools were closed in many states including Delhi NCR. But now this state is going to open schools from tomorrow. This has been announced by the education minister of the state.
School Reopen: The Punjab Government has announced on Sunday that schools can now reopen from July 17 i.e. Monday. Although the Deputy Commissioner can declare a holiday in schools at his level, but can do so only for those schools where the areas are still in flood or the building has been damaged. State Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains has made this announcement through Twitter.
Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains tweeted, “All school heads and management committees are also directed to do their bit today to ensure that school buildings are safe for students and that they Will be responsible for all kinds of security of the students. If any school or locality has been flooded or any school building has been damaged, then the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts will declare holiday only in those schools.
Earlier, the Punjab government had ordered closure of all schools till July 13 in view of the incessant rains in the state. Apart from Punjab, the Gautam Budh Nagar district administration had also announced the closure of schools in the district till July 14 in view of the rising water level of the Yamuna river. Schools were also closed in the national capital, New Delhi, due to the flood-like situation in the city.
