School Reopening Postpone: Big relief for students! Summer vacations extended due to heat wave in this state

School Reopen: The state government has postponed the date of reopening of schools in this state till June 7 due to heat wave. Due to the increasing outbreak of heatwave here, the state government has also issued an advisory. Read – full details.

Due to the increasing outbreak of heat wave, the date of reopening of schools in Puducherry has been postponed till June 7. The decision to extend the summer vacations in the state has been taken due to the persistent hot weather affecting the Union Territory.

It is scorching heat in Puducherry. Common living conditions are also affected by this. According to Puducherry Education Minister A Namassivam, the schools were earlier scheduled to reopen from June 1. But in view of the prevailing weather conditions, a new date of June 7 has been fixed to ensure the health and comfort of the students and teachers.

According to the annual calendar of the Uttar Pradesh government, the summer vacations in the schools of the state have started from May 21. These holidays are applicable for schools in all districts including Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Agra, Varanasi, Gautam Buddha Nagar. According to the calendar, the schools will remain closed for a total of 40 days. The holidays which started from Sunday 21st May will continue till 30th June.

Whereas in Maharashtra, the school holidays started from 21 April. Schools will remain closed till June 14. This order is for all the districts except Vidarbha. In Vidarbha, schools will remain closed till June 30, 2023. The order was limited only to schools affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, MSBSHSE. Holidays were done after May in CBSE and other board-affiliated schools in the state.
