School Time Table Change: After the release of the academic calendar, there are going to be changes in the time table and study hours of secondary schools. Now 1200 hours of education will be imparted in a year in all government, aided and unaided schools. In any case, schools will conduct classes for 220 days in a session. A letter and model time table has also been issued to all the district school inspectors in this regard by the Special Secretary Secondary Education.
This change is being made to conduct studies in schools under the National Education Policy. Till now, only 1100 hours of teaching has been taking place in schools. Whereas from now onwards 100 more hours will be added to studies. The government has also made necessary amendments in the Uttar Pradesh Intermediate Education Act-1921. In the letter issued by Special Secretary Umesh Chandra, it has been said that schools will remain open for at least 220 working days in an academic year.
Minimum 6 hours of teaching work every day will be mandatory in the school. This will also include prayer meeting and lunch time. 8 classes of 40 minutes each will be conducted every day. There will be an intermission of 25 minutes. It has also been said in the letter that if schools are closed for any reason, then the remaining hours will be compensated by increasing the hours during the period of school opening. Apart from this, studies will also be provided for 75 days for students registered under open school or correspondence education.
The time table will be like this
- Schools will open at 7.30 am from April 1 to September 30.
- First hour starts at 7.45 after 15 minutes prayer meeting.
- 25 minutes intermission from 10.25 am
- Fifth hour starts from 10.50 am
- 8th hour will be completed at 1.30 pm.
Schools will open at 9.30 am from October 1 to March 31.
- The first hour starts at 9.45 after a 15-minute prayer meeting.
- 25 minutes intermission from 12.25 pm
- 5th hour starts at 12.50
- 8th hour till 3.30 pm
