UP School Timing: A major change has been made regarding timing in the government schools of UP. For this, the Intermediate Act 1921 has been amended. This change will be applicable to schools affiliated with UP Board.
UP New School Timing: A major change has been made in the government schools of UP. Now there has been a change in the minimum duration of teaching in schools affiliated to UP Board. Now there will be one more hour of study in 27871 secondary schools across the state. This change has been made to ensure the minimum duration of instruction under the National Education Policy. For this, the Intermediate Education Act 1921 has been amended.
The new time table has been sent to the Director General on behalf of Special Secretary Government Umesh Chandra. Now all secondary schools will operate from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm from April 1 to September 30. Will operate from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm from October 1 to March 31. Earlier, from April 1 to September 30, schools used to operate from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm, whereas from October 1 to March 31, school timings were fixed from 8:30 am to 2:50 pm.
Under the National Education Policy, it is mandatory to conduct minimum 1200 hours of studies in 220 teaching days. At present, 1100 hours of teaching, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities were taking place. To provide 1200 hours of teaching, the Intermediate Education Act 1921 had to be amended.
